Mini Pump Location: Every Map Farm Route
Last updated: 2026-10-30
The Mini Pump is an Uncommon recyclable worth 640 (weighs 0.5, stacks to 5) that spawns on every map — unlike the other Frozen Trail materials, it is not tied to Pendola Pass. You need 3 Mini Pumps to build the Research Station level I in the Outpost, together with 35 Planks and 5 Battered Paperbacks.
Quick Facts
- Map: every map, Pendola Pass included.
- Loot type: Technological and Electrical — areas tagged with both are worth searching; skip Residential and medical zones if you are after pumps.
- Best areas on Pendola Pass: Old Town, Commissary Supermarket, Almatera Station and Researcher Lodgings.
- Search: shelves, household drawers and wardrobes, train-car tables and seats, counters and tables.
- Loot zones: check the map at raid start — areas marked yellow (Loot value: Medium) roll better loot, and red ones (Loot value: High) more and better still.
- You need: 3 to build the Research Station (level I).
Best Areas on Pendola Pass
The places with the most spots where the Mini Pump can spawn:
| Area | Spawn spots |
|---|---|
| Old Town | 1097 |
| Commissary Supermarket | 1017 |
| Almatera Station | 464 |
| Researcher Lodgings | 364 |
| Piazza Della Rupe | 345 |
Spots are only chances: every spot can roll many other items too.
What Kind of Places to Search
Most spawn spots are loose loot lying out in the open, so look at surfaces as you move through a building. Share of all spawn spots on Pendola Pass:
| Where | Share of spots |
|---|---|
| Shelves and storage racks | 27% |
| Household furniture (drawers, suitcases, wardrobes) | 18% |
| Train cars: tables and seats | 14% |
| Tables, chairs and counters | 12% |
| Parked vehicles | 5% |
| Medical cabinets | 4% |
On Pendola Pass itself, reported pickups include a pump loose on a train seat in the Railyard, one inside a breachable metal crate under the elevated tracks near the Railyard, and one in an office desk. The Cielo Sereno Observatory also rolls them — to reach the breach containers on its lower level, go through the opening in the wall beside the Security Breach Locker and drop down.
Best Areas on Every Map
Mini Pumps come from Technological and Electrical loot wherever you raid. Use these as a set of targets rather than one rigid route, and have a backup ready if your first choice is contested or already looted.
| Map | Best areas | Loot density |
|---|---|---|
| Riven Tides | Port Authority Building, Customs House, Wavebreaker Compound | Heavy |
| Pendola Pass | Cielo Sereno Observatory, Railyard, Commissary Supermarket | Heavy |
| Dam Battlegrounds | Power Generation Complex, Testing Annex, Water Treatment Control | Heavy |
| Blue Gate | Station Office, Maintenance Wing, Reinforced Reception | Heavy |
| Stella Montis | Communications, Business Center, Seed Vault, Lobby | Heavy |
| Spaceport | Arrival Building, Launch Towers | Average |
| Buried City | New District, Space Travel building | Average |
Notes from community farming routes:
- Riven Tides is the most consistent map. The Port Authority Building alone can hand over all three pumps you need — work the white drawers, toolboxes and desks early. The Customs House (control room and the containers under the zipline) is nearly as dependable; Wavebreaker Compound is the backup.
- Dam Battlegrounds pays off especially during an Electromagnetic Storm, when Power Control and the Hydrodomes are richer. Rocketeers patrol here — make sure an extraction point is close before you start searching containers.
- Blue Gate: at Reinforced Reception, descend into the research lab, complete the puzzle, then check the Control Room and its Security Breach Locker. Pilgrim’s Peak fits the theme but leans heavily toward breachable servers, which do not spawn Mini Pumps — hit normal lootable containers first.
- Stella Montis: search Communications and the Business Center before the Seed Vault and Lobby. An Assembly Key may open a locked room where several pumps have been found in one run.
- Spaceport: the Arrival Building’s broken, multi-floor desks are good spots, and the Launch Towers hold a few in lockers and on control consoles — but both are popular and often already looted unless you arrive early.
- Buried City: target the New District and the Space Travel building — behind the barricaded doors on its top floor, and on the second floor, reachable with the drop-mantle trick.
Containers to Search
When working a Technological or Electrical zone, prioritize these storage spots: Office Desk, Filing Cabinet and Bench Drawer; Lockers and Tool Trolley; the Industrial Crate (breach to open) and Shipping Container Drawer; Suitcase, Closet, Kitchen Cabinet and TV Unit; Street Bin, Trash Bin and Dumpster — plus pumps left loose on shelves, tables, seats and inside cars. Do not spend all your time checking lockers: exposed surfaces are just as likely, and pumps are easy to miss when left in the open.
What the Mini Pump Is Used For
To install Research Station Level 1 in the Outpost, you need 3 Mini Pumps, 35 Planks and 5 Battered Paperbacks. Pumps can also be traded to the Nomad in Speranza and help make recipes available for weapon amplifications and new gadgets.
